Two reviews and an Interview

Kitty at Guilty Pleasures gave Safewords: Davenport and Chiffon a 5 of 5 and a Purest Delight Award! She said: …learning to trust your partner to be who and what you need, to give yourself completely to a love that will bring you to new heights, is the true story behind this book. The true love, the true trust and the true lust is what brings these four people together to live a long and happy life. And Shari at Delighted Reader gave Safewords: Davenport and Chiffon an “A”, and said: As I stutter in to write this review, I am worn out and need aftercare. Aftercare from a very intense story of love, pain, dealing with loss, and finding out you can love again. Oh and there was a lot of BDSM in this book that had me cringing but also amazed at the strength and depth to these characters. …Everything in this book goes beyond everything you have read in her earlier books. She shocked me, had me laughing, crying and wanting to know more about certain aspects of the M/s lifestyle. Shari also interviewed me, click here to read it.

Review from Kinky Book Reviews — 5 of 5 Kinks and a Smokin’ Hot Read

Riane at Kinky Book Reviews gave Safewords: Davenport and Chiffon 5 of 5 Kinks and a Smokin’ Hot Read! She said: I loved this book. I cried, again. I thought all the crying had been handled in the first book, but I was wrong. There were some hard scenes, not because the story lacked anything, but because wow, Candace Blevins has an sadistic streak that is amazingly wonderful. She pointed out that you really need to read Safeword: Davenport before reading this one, which is absolutely true. Scorching Book Reviews BDSM Blog Hop

Welcome blog hoppers! I’m excited to be a part of a BDSM themed hop, so it seems appropriate to discuss some of the kink in my books. The BDSM acronym covers a wide variety of kinks — B&D, D/s, S&M. The D/s portion is about power exchange, the S&M portion is about the giving and receiving of pain. Not everyone is into both aspects, there are submissives who don’t enjoy pain, and there are masochists who don’t submit. There are Tops who aren’t sadists, and there are sadists who don’t prefer to Dom. In Safeword: Davenport Dana readily accepts she’s a masochist, but doesn’t think she can submit to anyone else, as she’s only submitted to her now deceased husband. She explores masochism without submission. And with. There is much exploration in Safeword: Davenport and Safewords: Davenport and Chiffon — both physical and emotional, and from the Top as well as the bottom. The psychology of what it takes to Top is explored, as well as what it takes to surrender one’s power to another. Fair warning: I delve further into power exchange with these books than I have in my previous books, and the S&M is equal to the most intense scenes from Safeword: Rainbow. These are not “beginner” BDSM books. Everything is consensual, but it’s real pain, and as close as one can get to total surrender while sustaining a career. Now, onto the free stuff: I’ll be giving away a copy of your choice of Safeword: Matte, Safeword: Davenport, or Safewords: Davenport and Chiffon on Monday evening, August 20th. There are three ways to enter. Do all three and you’ll be entered three times, or do one and you’re entered once: Follow me on Facebook and let me know about it (email, comment, or FB message) Follow […]

First review for Safewords: Davenport and Chiffon

The first review is up on Goodreads and it’s a 5 of 5. Well, not a review exactly, but a rating and a note that the review will come, and the second part of the story is “awesome”. I like that word. While I’m talking about Goodreads, after 15 ratings and 8 reviews, the Goodreads average for Safeword: Davenport is 4.33. I am also thrilled to be on the number two spot at Bookstrand in the Multiple Partners category, and number ten at Smashwords. I have two contests going right now for a chance to win your choice of Safeword: Davenport or Safeword: Matte. Just scroll down the main page for the two blog hop posts.
