I can keep prices low because you’re the one who chooses the stock photo(s) you want me to use. You know your characters best, after all. I have an account at DepositPhotos. Choose your images, I’ll buy them, you fill out a form to let me know what you’re looking for, and I create it for you. Simple! A few things to keep in mind when choosing stock art: If you’re using more than one image, the angle of view should be the same. If one photo was taken from above and the other head-on, they won’t blend into the same image. Also, the lighting source needs to be from the same direction, or from the exact opposite direction, so I can flip the photo and it’ll be the same. Shifter books usually show the person (or people) and the animal. If you can find a single stock image with both, great. If not, you may need two images for your cover. Alternatively, you can use a tagline to clue your readers in (A werewolf ménage romance). Ideally, the text (title, author name, etc) should be more of a focal point than the image. Simple images are usually better than busy ones. If you fall in love with a busy one, I can add some shading to help smooth it out behind the text, but it’s usually better to find something simple from the start. Pricing: Design fee: $50 for one cover with ONE image, also includes two promo images (FB cover, IG timeline, etc).
