Snarkology Blog Tour

Welcome to the Snarkolog Halloween Hop! Keep reading to the end for a chance to win an ebook copy of Acceptable Risk! Have you checked out Careful What You Ask For yet? It’s the latest paranormal romance in The Chattanooga Supernaturals, a sister series to my urban fantasy series, Only Human. Both are also in the same universe as my bikers, and we first meet Brianna in Gonzo‘s story. It’s a stand-alone though, so don’t worry if you missed meeting her in Gonzo!   When a wolf mates with a human, the child is nearly always a wolf. Briana was raised as a werewolf, but puberty hit and she never changed. She’s persuaded a few wolves to bite her, but it never took. At nineteen, she’s going to give it a final try. This time, she’ll ask someone who was bitten instead of being born to it, to see if it makes a difference. She grew up welcome in the Pack until she was branded a human. Her developing teenage psyche was wounded by their rejection, and she holds nothing but ill will for the Pack and all it stands for. However, it’s fine for a human to glare at the Alpha and tell him he isn’t the boss of her. Trying it as a wolf is another story. She’s determined to make a go of it as a lone wolf, but Randall — the local Alpha — has other ideas, despite the fact she’s property of his brother’s motorcycle club. Briana was raised to be a werewolf and she finally feels whole, but the transition is different for everyone. She understands supernatural politics, but she’s going to have to maneuver through the highest levels of them as a brand new wolf still struggling for control.     […]

Fourteen nights of Halloween giveaway

I’m happy to be part of the giveaway tour! I’m supposed to talk about my favorite scary something, and for me, nothing compares to A Nightmare on Elm Street. I don’t do scary, but I figured dreams out long ago, so this topic in particular is one I forced myself to endure the nerve-wracking music so I could get the storyline. My aunt used to pull me into her nightmares so I could fight her monsters. I know how to fight monsters in dreams, and I needed to know how this worked out. I loved the ending of the first. Bad things feed off your fear, so don’t give them any energy. Love it. What’s your favorite scary movie or book?   It’s that time of year again. The days are getting shorter, the air is getting cooler and the nights are getting spookier. Yes, it’s time for tricks and treats, goblins and ghouls, chills and thrills and huge amounts of sugary sweets. Nix

Predator and prey… Nix recently transferred to Chattanooga from the Asheville RTMC chapter. She’s a shooter as well, and she won a silver medal at the Olympics, but she uses a different name now and tries to stay out of the limelight. Most deer can’t function in human society, but she’s found ways to navigate modern life without her deer freezing or running every time something startles her. Wolves are fiercely monogamous when they fall in love, while deer have trouble understanding the concept of exclusivity. Then there’s the fact wolves eat deer in the wild. Riding the Storm

Long, long ago, when I didn’t know any better, I wrote a book about vampires in the middle of a contemporary series. The book wasn’t out long before it was pulled, and over the years I’ve had a lot of people ask me when it’ll be re-released. Now, I’m finally writing the paranormal romance I always wanted to write, so it was time to pull it back out and look at it. And, I cringed. Let’s just say I’ve come a long way as a writer in the past six or seven years. Even going through to tighten up the wording wouldn’t have helped, so, I pretty much started from scratch with the characters. There have been so many changes, I don’t think I can call Riding the Storm a rewrite of Safeword: Storm Clouds. It features the same characters, and a few of the same plot lines, but it now fits into The Chattanooga Supernaturals, with all new plots and conflicts, plus a few of the minor plots and conflicts from the original. Kendra has always been Abbott’s Third, in my head, so I couldn’t change that. And, she needed to find her happily ever after. The story needed to come out again at some point, and now’s the time. Release date on this one is March 29th — two weeks from today. Here’s the blurb: ——————- As the vampires begin to realize bagged blood isn’t giving them what they need, Kendra goes in search of a human companion. She’s been a Domme for the past thousand years, and has never had trouble finding human men who want to submit to her. Eric is a human adrenaline junkie who spends his time hang gliding and jumping out of perfectly good airplanes when he isn’t creating video games. And he smells […]
