Magic Touch Giveaway Hop

Welcome to the Magic Touch Giveaway Hop! What creates that special bit of magic between two people? Chemistry? Pheromones mixing just right? Who knows; but we can all recognize it when we see it. I’ve included an excerpt below from Safeword: Quinacridone, because I think Travis has the magic touch when it comes to Cara. I’ll be giving away an ebook copy of Safeword: Quinacridone Tuesday, April 30th. There are three ways to enter — do all three and you’ll be entered three times, or do one and you’re entered once: Follow me on Facebook and let me know about it (email, comment, or FB message) Follow me on Twitter and let me know about it (email, comment, or Twitter me) Comment below.

I think this might be the best review, ever.

Anna at Herding Cats and Burning Soup gave Safeword: Quinacridone a 4 of 5, but I think her review might be one of the best I’ve seen. You really need to go read it, but here are a few of the things she had to say: It takes some serious talent to make fisting romantic… Travis and Cara have an incredible relationship that you can feel and see changing over the years they spend together. The book covers I think around 2 years. I loved their relationship and that they support each other at work, at home, respect each other inside and outside of the bedroom and that they come together to face anything that stands in their way. They’re far from perfect but what they have together is amazing. Blevins really didn’t hold back and lets these two be themselves. And they explore it all. Playing with electricity, multiple partners, extreme objectification (he turns her into a blow up sex doll with a latex suit that even has pockets for all of her cavities to be used just like the doll), anal play, fisting (and yes one of my favorite scenes involved fisting and she did make it incredibly romantic–amazingly), use of all sorts of products like blended hot peppers inserted in parts you just don’t want that inserted. My girlie bits cringed multiple times reading this one. There’s whipping and bondage and exploration of amputation fetishes. Yes. Those apparently exist. Nothing was actually amputated but there’s some serious mind fucking going on in regards to it…Nothing was off limits with these two but it was all consensual and definitely what they both wanted… And while Travis is most definitely a sadist I liked that he wasn’t a complete sadistic bastard. Oh, he likes to hurt women and […]

Snifferwalk gives Safeword: Quinacridone 5 Stars

Liberty Ann at Snifferwalk gave Safeword Quinacridone 5 stars and said: Since my kink is bondage and domination, there was sufficient to make me want to squeal with delight. If you like sadism or objectification, you will be doing way more than squealing. Over all, it will take way more than a simple cold shower to release the total Snuggly factor found in this book. I fell in love with both characters, despite the times when I became a bit squeamish. The book was entertaining, educational, full of fantasy and that hard-to-define IT factor in my opinion. I would absolutely read it again and totally look forward to reading the books Ms. Blevin’s has written that I have yet to consume. Safeword: Quinacridone is available at:

March Book of the Month at BDSMBookReviews!!!

Safeword: Quinacridone won Book of the Month over at BDSM Book Reviews! I’m astounded. Thanks so much to everyone who voted! I’ve been without a computer for almost a week, and have tried to keep up with things via my tablet, which is a huge PITA. My new computer should be delivered this evening. **crossesfingers** Perhaps the way to win these things is to stay offline during voting? Who knew? Again, thanks to everyone who voted. I can’t wait to get back to writing the sequel to Safeword: Matte once I get my new computer all set up. This is just the kick in the pants I needed to get me writing again. We Love Kink gives Safeword: Quinacridone 5 of 5 Love Pats

M2dee at We love Kink gave Safeword: Quinacridone 5 of 5 Love Pats and said: …The story content is very well researched and developed as to the strong BDSM and Objectification of the characters…The level of [Cara and Travis’s] conviction to each others extreme personal release and mutual torment level, was by far compelling and graphic…This book is one I will reread again in the future. I highly recommend this book to serious readers. Head on over to We love Kink to see what else she said, and to enter to win an ebook copy of either of the Davenport books.

A Five Carrot Review

KY Bunnies gave Safeword: Quinacridone Five carrots and said: Blevins has taken something that most people think is dirty … and created a work of art. With a story line that is too close to real life, characters that move readers and have you cheering for them when accomplishing a goal, a book that is more than just sex. A book that shows even if someone is different they are still human. They have human emotions, fears, and doubts. I gotta say, her words make me want to do a happy dance. I hope I’ve written things so, even if they kinks aren’t your kinks, you’ll understand Cara and Travis’ attraction to them. It truly should be more than just sex — the trust and honesty required on both sides forges a connection mere sex can never create. You can also register to win the winner’s choice of an ebook copy of either of the Daveport books.

A much needed update

March was crazy — some good, some bad, but all of it seemed to conspire to keep me from writing. I’ve spent time in seven states, and I’ve been sick twice — most recently with the version of flu that’s killing people. I’ve been offline this time for over a week, and I’m sure to have missed important emails. I’m wading through it, slowly but surely; however, if I owe you a response and haven’t answered yet, it might be a good idea to resend the email. Safeword: Quinacridone‘s full release is this Friday, for those of you who’ve been waiting for Cara and Travis’ story in other formats. I don’t yet have a release date for the sequel to Safeword: Matte. It’s coming along, but it still has a ways to go. I plotted this one, but it’s kind of gone off the rails. I can’t wait to see how it ends.
