Hunky Hero Giveaway Hop

When it comes to hunky heroes, Ethan Levi certainly fits the bill. He’s six foot five inches tall, two hundred and seventy one pounds. But he’s smart, too — owns his own business, is a martial arts expert, and occasionally enters cage fights, just to challenge himself. Diana at The Forbidden Bookshelf gave Safeword: Matte 4½ stars out of 5 and said: When it comes to S&M love stories, Candace Blevins knows her stuff. Her latest SAFEWORD: MATTE hits *all* the right buttons for my inner masochist. It gives a positive portrayal of a safe, sane and consensual S&M relationship. Yes, there are “loving sadists,” and the book’s hero, Ethan, is a swoon-worthy example. Ethan’s more than a sadist though, he’s also a very caring Dom – capable of being loving and affectionate as well as strict and exacting. Of course, if you aren’t into Doms with a sadistic streak you might want to just ogle the picture and skip the details… but if you happen to like that sort of thing? I’m giving away an ebook version of Safeword: Matte to one lucky winner. There are three ways to enter. Do all three and you’ll be entered three times: Follow me on Facebook and let me know about it (email, comment, or FB message) Follow me on Twitter and let me know about it (email, comment, or Twitter me) Comment below. Sunshine Award

I’ve received the Sunshine Award from Qwillia Rain, one of my cohorts over at Kinky Ever After. This fun award requires I reveal ten things not many people know about me. I love to hike. Before husband and kids came along I’d throw a backpack on and wonder off into wilderness areas for days at a time. If it were an area where dogs were allowed I had my German Shepherd with me. If not, it was just me. My husband hiked with me some before we had kids, but now we consider camping in a tent right beside the car to be an adventure. I lived in China a while. Follow the link to my Pinterest Favorite Places board and take a look at the karst mountains surrounding Guilin. Yeah, I’ve climbed a few of those. You’ll also see some of the areas I enjoy hiking close to where I live now – some of which have made it into my books. (I recently joined Pinterest, there isn’t much up yet, I need to spend some time linking to more books, especially.) I came of age in the 80’s and like 80’s music. My favorite internet radio station is Club 977’s 80’s channel (clicking link will open their player in a new window and start the music). My oldest daughter is no longer a fan of 80’s music, so I’m learning to like current music, too. (Again, clicking link will open player in a new window and start the music). I used to be a dancer, but an injury ended things years earlier than I was ready to stop. I was best at ballet, but most of the jobs I got were for Broadway type shows (but in Tennessee, Georgia, North Carolina, Alabama, and Florida – not on Broadway). […]

And the winner is….

The winner of the free ebook copy of Safeword: Matte is Autumn J Lake. Congrats! Thanks to everyone who entered. Blurb: Matte, pronounced mah-tay, is the word used in some forms of martial arts to stop a fight. It’s the Japanese word for stop or wait. Sam (short for Samantha) has made a hobby out of learning the various fighting disciplines, but she also happens to be a sexual submissive. What better safeword than matte? Sam wants to find someone to submit to who she can’t beat in a fight. She’s tried to make it work with men from the scene who know nothing about fighting, but it doesn’t feel real to her – she needs someone who can truly control her. However, after dating from the fight scene and discovering not all guys like to spank their girlfriends, she’s decided to just back away from the whole dating thing for a while… until Fate decides to step in. Warning: This title contains graphic language, consensual BDSM, bondage, and use of toys including crops, clamps, canes, and floggers. Buy it at:

Safeword: Matte gets a 5 of 5 from KinkyBookReviews

Safeword: Matte gets 5 of 5 Kinks and a Recommended Read from Kitten at KinkyBookReviews.com. The sadistic and masochistic bdsm elements of this story was so well written that the bar has just been raised for all bdsm erotica i read in the future. Blevins just proved you can write accurate BDSM without it being fantasy or pretty, and still keep it sexy and engaging. She had lots of other nice things to say, you can read the full review here.
